Energy That Works for You
RCEA offers cleaner, more affordable electricity for Humboldt County residents and businesses. With flexible service options, you can choose the plan that best fits your needs and helps you save money while supporting renewable energy and local choice.
Service Plans
RCEA provides two service levels that cater to your energy needs and preferences. Both options offer cleaner energy than traditional sources, but you have the flexibility to choose the level that works best for you.
REpower
REpower is our standard plan, which is automatically provided to all eligible customers. It prioritizes local resources and sustainability, offering affordable electricity with a higher percentage of renewable energy sources on average compared to PG&E’s electricity generation service (learn more). Through REpower, RCEA works to increase local renewable generation and energy resilience in Humboldt County.
REpower+
REpower+ is our premium plan, providing 100% renewable and carbon-free electricity for just $0.01 more per kWh (about $5 more per month for an average household). This plan offers customers the option to customize their energy supply to align with their sustainability goals, supporting a cleaner energy future for the region.

RCEA Renewable Energy
RCEA’s power mix, or where we source electricity, is more renewable than the California average and PG&E’s power mix on average over the course of our Community Choice Energy (CCE) program. Annual published reports such as the Power Content Label and Joint Rate Mailer may not always display RCEA’s power mix as more renewable due to differences in reporting period.
