Benefits of Induction Cooking

  • Speed: Water boils up to 50% faster than on a traditional stove.
  • Energy Efficiency: Only the pot gets heated, reducing wasted energy.
  • Safety: No open flames or exposed heating elements.
  • Better Air Quality: Reduces indoor air pollutants compared to gas stoves.

Cooktops Available to Borrow:

  • Portable Induction Cooktop: A compact, single-burner model ideal for small kitchens or testing the technology.
  • Double Burner Induction Cooktop: A dual-burner option for a more versatile cooking experience.

Is my cookware compatible?

Induction cooking requires cookware with magnetic properties. Here’s how to check:

  • Cookware Material: Stainless steel, cast iron, and enameled cast iron typically work. Copper, glass, and aluminum without a magnetic base do not.
  • Magnet Test: Hold a magnet to the bottom of your cookware. If it sticks, it’s compatible.
