Rebate amount is determined by the values listed on the RCEA webpage on the date a complete rebate reservation form is received (optional) or a complete application and all supplemental documents are received.
Applications must be submitted within 90 days of equipment installation.
Rebate awards are determined by the rebate amount listed below on the date your complete Application Package is received.
A complete Application Package requires a complete application, copy of invoice/ receipt, and Electrification Supplemental Questionnaire with documentation (when replacing natural gas or propane equipment).

How to Apply
Eligibility
- Rebates are available to RCEA customers that meet and agree to the Equipment Rebate Program Terms and Conditions. If you have questions about your eligibility or you don’t have access to account information, please contact RCEA at rebates@redwoodenergy.org or call (707) 269-1700.
- Equipment Rebates are available for installed equipment that meets all requirements. Please select the “+” next to the equipment title and review the Details and Description. To ensure rebate eligibility, verify the equipment meets these requirements before purchase. If you have questions about equipment eligibility, please contact RCEA at rebates@redwoodenergy.org or call (707) 269-1700.
Optional Equipment Rebate Reservation
- If you intend to purchase qualified equipment, you may request to reserve your rebate for 30 days. Please fill out the Equipment Rebate Reservation form and submit it via email to rebates@redwoodenergy.org or mail to Redwood Coast Energy Authority, Attn: Equipment Rebates, 633 3rd Street, Eureka, CA 95501. You will be notified if you Reservation has been approved.
- To finalize your rebate, you will need to complete the Application Process after installation.
Equipment Rebate Application Process
Once your qualified equipment is installed and fully operational, please proceed as follows:

Complete, sign, and submit the Equipment Rebate Application through our website.
- When prompted, please upload a photo or scanned copy of your paid invoice/receipt listing the installed equipment manufacturer and model number, number of units, cost, purchase date, location of purchase, and installation address. If your invoice/receipt doesn’t meet all requirements, contact RCEA to learn what additional documentation is required.
- If you are replacing a natural gas or propane unit, you will be prompted to upload one of the following as documentation:
- Invoice or work order indicating capping a gas line, or disposal of old gas equipment, or
- photo of capped gas line, or
- photo of gas unit that was replaced.
- You will receive email confirmation within 3 business days that your submission was received. You will be notified of any missing information or documentation required to complete your application package. You will be notified if your application package is rejected.
- Rebate payments will be made by check and will be mailed within 60 days following receipt of a complete application package.

Alternate Submission Options
- Customers may download a PDF version of the application, fill it out, sign, and submit it via email to rebates@redwoodenergy.org or mail to Redwood Coast Energy Authority, Attn: Equipment rebates, 633 3rd Street, Eureka, CA 95501. Be sure to include a copy of your invoice/receipt and a completed Electrification Supplemental Questionnaire if you are replacing a natural gas or propane unit.

- Replacement of an existing unit is not required except for Equipment Electrification rebates.
- You have the option to reserve your Equipment Rebate for 30 days by submitting the Equipment Rebate Reservation Form. Rebate reservations will honor the rebate award listed on the date of your reservation is made.
- If you are not an RCEA customer or are interested in rebates for equipment other than what is listed, please speak with an RCEA Energy Advisor to learn about other options or how you can opt back in to RCEA services and save money on your electric bill.

Heat Recovery Ventilation
Heat recovery ventilators and Energy Recovery Ventilators bring fresh air into a conditioned space and cycle out pollutants in stale air while also capture and exchanging the heat into the incoming air.
Details:
- Install an air-to-air heat recovery ventilator (HRV) unit that draws in fresh outside air, while exhausting stale, humid, air
- HRVs must meet the specifications listed in the HVI certified product directory.
- Building must not already have an HRV or ERV existing and being replaced.

The latest electric heat pump water heaters can be up to three times more energy-efficient than standard electric ones, helping you save long-term. Newer models also let you customize your settings based on your lifestyle.

- Smart thermostat: $75 Instant Rebates available at www.goldenstaterebates.com/goldenstaterebates/rebates/smart-thermostats. Golden State rebates cannot be combined with RCEA rebates for the same piece of equipment.
