The Redwood Coast Energy Authority invites the community to a workshop on home or business solar electricity systems and Net Energy Metering on June 26, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center, Room 203, 921 Waterfront Drive, Eureka.
RCEA is dedicated to supporting customers who want to generate their own renewable energy. The evening will focus on the first steps to installing solar, and net energy metering and billing. Solar system owners will join break-out groups to share first-hand solar energy experiences. Attendees will have time to ask questions and provide feedback to RCEA.
Current solar system owners are invited to bring their bills and learn how to read them with RCEA account managers. Local solar installers and solar system owners will also be available to answer questions. Pick up information about energy efficiency and electrifying your home and business to help you decide on your array size while enjoying refreshments and views of Humboldt Bay.

The Redwood Coast Energy Authority and the Greater Eureka Chamber of Commerce invite the public to a presentation titled, How To Buy An Electric Vehicle, on Thursday June 13, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. RCEA Transportation Specialist Aisha Cissna will guide people through buying an electric vehicle and talk about different types of electric vehicles, financial incentives and assistance, fuel and maintenance savings and charging options. There will be Q&A time at the end.
The Greater Eureka Chamber of Commerce is co-hosting the event at their new ‘Business HQ’ located at 612 G Street, Suite 101 in Eureka. The Eureka Chamber and its members are active in issues related to energy efficiency, clean energy and renewable energy investments.
RCEA’s Transportation Program supports the use of low-carbon fuel vehicles in Humboldt County by planning, managing, and implementing zero emission vehicle infrastructure. RCEA also provides information, education and incentives to encourage local residents, businesses and public agencies to adopt low-carbon fuel vehicles.
