The Redwood Coast Energy Authority Board of Directors established a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) to support RCEA public engagement efforts and to provide decision-making support and input to the RCEA Board.

The CAC can have up to 15 members. Eleven are nominated by RCEA Board Directors, and four additional members are seated through an open application process. Final CAC member appointments are made by the full Board. Members serve 2-year terms and must be Humboldt County residents.

CAC meetings are held bimonthly. Additional CAC meetings are held to address specific topics or situations as needed.

CAC meetings are open to the public and are held at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every odd-numbered month at the Jefferson Community Center Auditorium, 1000 B Street in Eureka. See MAP for ADA accessibility.  Zoom online and phone meeting participation is available for these meetings.

Community Advisory Committee membership is open to Humboldt County residents. You do not need experience in energy, science or utilities to apply. Each Board member nominates one CAC member for appointment (or three members, in the case of the County). Four at-large members are selected through an open application process.
