Residential

The Redwood Coast Energy Authority has many ways to help save energy in your home whether you rent or own.  All renters and homeowners in Humboldt County that are Pacific Gas and Electric Company customers are eligible. 

Climate Action Planning

A Climate Action Plan is often a commitment by a City or County, adopted by a Council or Board of Governors, to implement a set of actions over a particular time period that will support economic growth in an environmentally cooperative way.

Business

Increase your bottom line by taking advantage of our no-cost energy services for your business or organization. No obligation assessments, detailed reports, project management, and assistance with 0%-interest project financing on your utility bill are just some of the services we offer. 

Home Upgrade

Do you want to make your home more comfortable, save money on your energy bills, and qualify for rebates up to $5,500? The Energy Upgrade California® Home Upgrade program offers incentives for addressing your home energy efficiency needs as a system.

Building Professionals

The Redwood Coast Energy Authority has resources for building professionals, including diagnostic tools available to check-out, home performance training information, and options for contractors to help save customers money on energy efficiency projects.

Energy Watch

Redwood Coast Energy Watch is a partnership of the Redwood Coast Energy Authority and Pacific Gas and Electric Company to help Humboldt County utility customers save energy, save money, and live more comfortably.

Proposition 39

Proposition 39 allocates revenue to local education agencies to support energy efficiency and clean energy generation projects, along with related improvements and repairs that contribute to reduced operating costs and improved health and safety conditions in public schools. 

Government

The Redwood Coast Energy Authority partners with local government to develop and deliver energy-related initiatives for a sustainable Humboldt County and surrounding region. Our funding is primarily through state and federal programs, along with fee-for-service contracts. The Redwood Coast Energy Authority also develops public-private partnerships to broaden access to funding opportunities and technical expertise.  

Library and Tools

Our Resource Library is open to the public and contains a variety of energy related books, periodicals and DVDs. We also have tools and educational activity kits for school-aged children.  All but periodicals are available to be checked-out, free of charge.

EV Charging Network

Redwood Coast Energy Authority promotes the adoption of electric vehicles in our region, and actively seeks funds to plan, implement, and manage electric vehicle public charging infrastructure. Our agency is currently the local administrator for fourteen plug-in electric vehicle charging stations in Humboldt County.
