Humboldt Non-Profit Energy Efficiency Program

Partnering with the McLean and PG&E Foundations to cover up to 100% of the cost of energy efficiency projects for local non-profit organizations.

The Redwood Coast Energy Watch program (RCEW) recognizes that many non-profit organizations may need more than a cash incentive to fund an energy efficiency project. To help these cash-strapped organizations, RCEW provides a service to match our incentives with available foundation funds. This combined funding often covers 75-100% of total project costs.

This has proven very successful since RCEW incentives provide a match for foundation funds, non-profits are able to focus on their preferred missions, and energy efficiency projects create recurring savings at the selected facilities.

Foundations that have participated in this program include:

Participation is open to any 501c3 organization based in Humboldt County. Interested non-profits need to meet efficiency criteria so that funds are used on projects with reasonable savings both in terms of energy and reduced annual costs. Foundations may have specific criteria regarding fund recipients, so each project will be evaluated and matched accordingly. Funding cycles vary and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
